Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between PHP and IOP?
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the more intensive outpatient level, with treatment most of the day several days a week. An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets fewer hours per week so you can keep up with work, school, or family while in treatment. In both programs, clients live in our sober living homes during treatment.
What is medication-assisted treatment (MAT)?
MAT combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapy to treat substance use disorders, especially opioid and alcohol use disorders. Medications such as buprenorphine (for example, Suboxone) are one option a provider may consider. Call us to ask which medications are offered and whether MAT is right for you.
Do you offer detox or residential treatment?
No. Legacy Treatment Center is an outpatient program offering PHP, IOP and MAT. If you need medical detox or residential care first, our team can help you find the right next step.
